Hi did anyone go through NYS healthfirst Medicaid coverage? What did they require before surgery? I’m already in supervised medical Weightloss but this was before i had interest in a surgery, and I feel I would benefit more a sleeve surgery now as I am not seeing results

I'v heard its one of the more easier insurance companies to deal with and get approval from. I have my consult with my surgeon next week and I'm just praying its not another waste if time like my first go-around was. I had MVP and a diff bariatric group and it was a total waste of 6mos. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I had gastric sleeve on 09/02/2025. I am 4 months post op. When do you know if you are experiencing a stall or if your done loosing weight? I am down 75# since surgery. I have been at the same weight for about a week now.

Has anyone been able to join the military post-op?
Bariatric surgery of any type is a DQ for military service in the US. However I've heard around that there may be waivers for VSG in particular. Has anyone (or does anyone know of anybody) been able to successfully enlist in any of the branches?
